I have been dipping my toes into the world of Korean beauty, discovering BB cushions, gradient lipsticks, sheet masks and whatnot. With half a year gone, I look back and realise 2016 is indeed the year I started experimenting with Korean makeup. I have been hauling lots of Korean beauty products! However, there are some brands I want to try such as Witch’s Puch, LaLa, IOPE, HERA which are not available in Singapore. *sobs*
But thanks to Althea Korea, a leading online Korean store for all things K-beauty, I was able to buy Korean products directly from Seoul! It took 8 days for the products to arrive, which is quite fast in my opinion. All orders above $50 get free shipping and from now till 31st July 2016, everything will be packaged into a beautiful limited edition pink birthday box!
I bought 5 products in total, they came packaged in bubble wrap and with 2 Innisfree samples. 🙂
Witch’s Pouch Selfie Like Shot Dual Lipstick
I picked up two of these Witch’s Pouch Selfie Like Shot Dual Lipsticks seeing that they are priced affordably at $8. I wanted to compare them to the Laneige two-tone lip bar which I love. The Laneige ones are good but pricey, so fingers crossed that these will be more affordable dupes! I’ve yet to try these lipsticks but I will update this post once I tried them.
Witch’s Pouch Love Me Blusher
Witch’s Pouch Love Me Blusher in Indy Violet is a gorgeous cool-toned pinky-lavender blush with a matte finish. It doesn’t come off as a strong lavender (unlike Clinique’s Pansy Pop), it reminds me more of NARS Roman Holiday Blush. When swatched, the texture felt soft and smooth. Lighter skintones will enjoy this blush as it’s a very wearable blue-based pink. 🙂 The blush even comes with a hidden compartment which contains a brush inside! Very handy for travel.
LaLa Pheromone Lip Lacquer
First off, I love how the words “The Queen” are printed on the packaging of the LaLa Pheromone Lip Lacquer! Why, you may ask. Fun fact but my name Regina actually means queen! I decided to get the shade Rosy Red, a cool-toned fuschia colour with red undertones. I didn’t quite like the strong rose scent as it smelled really artificial to me. Nevertheless, I love how glossy my lips look with this.
Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream
One of the reasons why I picked up the Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Cream was because of the many positive online reviews for this eye cream. Everyone is raving about it! The eye cream contains omega-3 fatty acid, haloxyl, arbutin and vitamins to improve blood circulation and whiten skin for radiant under eyes. I can’t wait to test it out. My panda eyes look so terrible, hahaha.
Overall, I am really pleased with my order and I can’t wait to try my new products! Let me know if there is a specific item you would like to know more about. 😀 The Althea Korea website is easy to navigate and the prices are reasonable. You can even get Laneige at a lower price compared to retail!
