When my friend was in USA a while back, I asked her to help me pick up the the USA exclusive Clinique Cheek Pop Blush ($23 USD) in Pansy Pop. It’s said to be a “long-wearing, buildable cheek color that imparts a bright hue”. Did it live up to its claims? Yes! Pansy Pop lasted 10-11 hours on me (bear in mind I have dry skin) and it’s definitely a vibrant shade!
Pansy Pop is a gorgeous lavender shade which would look extremely flattering on cool skin-tones. It instantly brightens up the complexion and add a youthful glow to the skin. Lavender is quite a unique colour, and you hardly see brands coming up with lavender blushes.
The gerber daisy motif on the blush makes this blush extra pretty in photographs and it won’t go away, even after multiple uses. If you’ve darker skintones, I’d advice trying on the blush first before buying as it may not show up well.
The blush contains 0.12 oz and is made in Italy. You don’t get a lot of product, for comparison, a MAC blush contains 0.21 oz. However, according to the Sephora website, this blush uses a “unique, patented technology transforms pure liquid pigment into a smooth, silky powder through a process of slow baking, leaving true colorβfrom compact to cheeks“. So perhaps, the slow baking process reduces the amount of product. I’m not certain though, just a hunch. π
I prefer to use a dense powder blush for application as the formula is rather stiff. Even when applied with a dense brush, the payoff is sheer at first but can be build up to a more intense finish. However, I found that the blush goes on a little patchy. I’m not sure if it’s due to my application or due to my blush brush. Eventually I found the best way to apply this would be using a dense angled blush brush like this one from IT Cosmetics. The blush leaves behind a nice sheen, without emphasizing pores.
It’s also worth noting that this blush is fragrance-free, allergy and ophthalmologist-tested.
Here’s my FOTD wearing Pansy Pop! Excuse the eyeshadow, I’ve no idea why one side looks darker than the other. >__<

MakeUp Forever HD Powder
Cle de peau Holiday Coffret
LancΓ΄me Le Crayon Kohl Eyeliner

Shu Uemura Hard Formula Brow Pencil
NYX Matte Lipstick (Tea Rose)
As you can see, Pansy Pop provides a soft glowy flush to the cheeks.
Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a lavender blush with a nice satin finish, this will fit the bill. It has a bit of a learning curve, but once you found the perfect brush to use with it, you’ll fall in love with it. There are quite a number of shades in the Cheek Pop range, so I’m sure even if Pansy Pop is not your taste, you will be bound to find a colour you fancy. π
Product was purchased from Clinique. This review contains my honest and true opinions.

10-11 hours lasting? That’s insane, most of the products only last like 4-5 hours on my skin, but then I have oily skin so lucky you π That’s such a pretty lavender blush and really suits your skin tone!

I’ve always wanted to try one of these blushes! I think other shades have better pigmentation.

Yup, it’s definitely one of the more sheer blushes in the range! But it’s good as you won’t risk overdoing it!

Thank you so much!! =) Love how longlasting these blushes are!
I love how their Cheek Pop Blushes look! The pattern is so beautiful. I’ve only had once a lavender blush and I loved it so much, I don’t know why I didn’t get any more. I’ve been wanting to try them for the longest time, I actually prefer sheer blushes than can be build up rather than super pigmented blushes that look really dramatic and are hard to blend. Great review, that shades looks really pretty on you c:
