Fall is here with Inglot’s new What a Spice Collection. It’s Summer all year round here in Singapore but this collection makes me want to snuggle on my couch, with a hot chocolate in hand.
I love Inglot has the Freedom palette system which allows you to customize your own palette! Gone are the days when I buy a palette and only used half of the colours. At the recent media event for the collection, I was kindly gifted a goodie bag of amazing products as shown above.
I received 3 full sized eyeshadows ($13 SGD each) and 2 sample sizes! There are a total of 10 new eyeshadows in this collection! Here they are swatched in numerical order.
I rarely step outside my neutrals comfort zone so the red in this palette scared me a little. But the trick to wearing reds would be to pair it with brown eyeshadows in the crease. 😉 That way, it won’t be too red and you don’t have to worry about looking like you’ve a red eye.
Speaking of browns, all the brown shades in this collection are a brown lovers dream come true. I’m not a huge fan of browns personally because I’m quite fair and cool-toned, so brown shades make me look tired. All the eyeshadows in this collection have a matte finish and they are all extremely pigmented and smooth!
Unfortunately, I can’t sing praises for the lipstick in 443. 443 ($28 SGD) is beautiful mauve pink rose color which I think is a universally flattering color. All the lipsticks in the collection are matte so they can be slightly drying. But they are not drying to the point where it’s uncomfortable on the lips, unlike some liquid lipsticks. 🙂
However, my biggest gripe would be that it emphasizes my lip lines. I took a few selfies on Snapchat and even the filter could not filter away my lines. The lipstick tugged on my lips when I applied it without lip balm. 🙁 Blah, not really a fan. So would I recommend it? Yes, only if you don’t have dry lips! Or if not, make sure to apply a very thick lip balm underneath. Other than the dryness, this lipstick stays put pretty nicely.
Next up we have the Colourplay Lip Liner in 319 ($23 SGD). This shade matches the lipstick perfectly. 🙂 I found that it glided on nicely and I love how it’s twist up so you don’t have to sharpen it.
Overall, if you love browns, nudes and burgundy, you absolutely must check out this collection!
