Inglot’s new The Star in You collection has got me all starry eyed and it isn’t for the faint of heart. The glitter in this collection is enough for me to sparkle so bright, I think you can hear Rihanna singing “we’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky” in the background. In all seriousness, these glitters will be perfect for a night’s out to the club.
I previewed the collection at Inglot’s pop-up store at Robinsons Raffles City (next to Clinique counter), and I had so much fun photographing the new collection! Everything is just so pretty! More photos from the preview below. First, here’s a quick review of the three products I received from Inglot for review.
The two AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadows ($29 SGD) I received are 123 and 125. They are loose powders that can be used to create a subtle wash of colour or packed on for a more intense effect. 🙂
123 is such a gorgeous complex colour. I think my words will not do justice to how beautiful it is in real life. It’s a peachy coral metallic shade and when the light hits it, it looks like the sunset. You can combine this with other eyeshadows for countless looks.
125 is a deep burgundy red metallic shade that is simply stunning. Pair this shade with some brown shades, winged eyeliner and you’re good to go.
I applied both shades over the NYX Glitter Primer to ensure that they stick to the skin. I highly recommend the NYX primer, it works amazingly and it’s really affordable! The initial application didn’t yield much colour payoff. But the colours are buildable, though you have to take care when applying multiple layers.
You get a generous amount of product in one small pot. I doubt I’ll ever run out of the pigments! 🙂 The only downside with these pigments would be that they can be incredibly messy to use, and if you are not careful, they may go flying everywhere. The containers can appear to be less than full due to the settling of the product. That is normal for all pigments. 🙂 Did you know that you can use the pigments as a lipstick? Simply mix the pigment with the gloss, apply with a lip brush and voila!
Inglot says it’s a “lip product that will provide full coverage and a silky matte finish. The product ensures a long lasting effect, does not smudge and is transfer resistant.” I love the matte finish and how it lasted through food. It’s not drying but it has the tendency to emphasize any lip lines. 🙁 Boo. Here’s a photo of me wearing it, thankfully you can’t see my lip lines from far. Shoutout to Jane for being my photographer for that day!
Now, here are the photos from the event.
Here are the swatches of the new HD lip tint matte! I love 21 and 26 in particular! As you can see, they emphasized the lines on my hands. 🙁 On a side note, I really ought to start using hand cream more often. The lines are starting to worry me.
Also new from Inglot are these nail polishes ($22 SGD)! They apply so smoothly and they are not streaky at all!
Nail polishes from left to right, 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416.
There were some Body Sparkles as well but I did not photograph them. Whoops. They are similar to the pigments, just that they are in smaller pots and meant for the body only. 🙂 Did anything from the collection catch your eye?
