Hi everyone! I took a little break in January but now I’m back! Expect more reviews on the blog and photos on Instagram (@mybeautymusings) in the coming months! 😀 Now on to the review! As a beauty junkie, I always want to try the most hyped up products, and Tom Ford lipsticks were no exception. With everyone in the beauty community singing praises about the lipsticks, I bit the bullet and bought myself one.
If you are not familiar with the Tom Ford makeup line, the lipsticks are said to be the “Hermès” of lipsticks. The best of the best. The colour I bought was Pablo ($50 SGD) from the Lips & Boys Collection. The Lips & Boys Collection features a range of limited-edition clutch-sized lip colors (aka mini lipsticks) named after the characters in Tom Ford’s life. Lipsticks in this Lips & Boys collection contains a mere 0.07 oz compared to the usual full size range which contains 0.1 oz. Nevertheless, it’s a great way to try the lipsticks. 🙂 Keep Reading »
Today’s post is something different. It’s not about makeup. 😛 Instead, it’s dedicated to the reopening of Kate Spade at Raffles City. I’m not a fashion blogger by any means but I love love love Kate Spade so much so that I wanted to dedicate an entire blog post to it. I have always been attracted by the brand because of their girly and whimsical feel as well as their vibrant prints. I own their wallets and bags, both of which have lasted me a very long time. I don’t mind spending a little more on a bag that would last me years, compared to one that would last for just a few months. So it’s no surprise when Andrea Chong invited her readers to the reopening of the newly renovated Kate Spade Raffles City store, I jumped at the chance to attend it! Besides, Andrea will be hosting the event! #fangirl 😀
Now, let’s take a tour of the store!
Love the bright pinks and corals! Or if you’re not a fan of bright colours, there’s always the classic black bag you can never go wrong with!
“She loves sweets and sparkles.” That’s me. Keep Reading »

Two weeks back, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Kim Robinson’s book launch at his salon together with other fashion and beauty bloggers. Kim Robinson’s salon is located right in the heart of Orchard road, at Ngee Ann City! I had a quick tour of the place and I fell in love instantly with the decor and the calming atmosphere of the place. This is definitely a salon I would visit if I wanted to give myself a good pampering session! There are even private rooms for those who want more peace while getting their tresses done. As for those who prefer to look at scenery, you can request to be seated next to windows overlooking the busy Orchard road.
There was a short sharing session by Kim about how his career started and I was surprised to learn that Kim is based in Hong Kong! No wonder he speaks perfect Cantonese! Kim shared with us that to ensure that we get the haircut we want, we should show our hairstylists photos of the haircut we want and what we do not want. This will ensure no miscommunication between yourself and the stylist. 🙂 Also, if the stylists insists that a certain cut doesn’t suit you, you should ask the stylist to show you what they think is the right cut for you.

A few weeks back, I was blessed to be able to attend Luxola’s 2015 Holiday party and had a preview of their upcoming launches. It seems like just a few months ago I attended their previous party. I’m so happy to see how successful our homegrown brand has become. 😀 They now offer shipping to countries around the region such as Australia, India and UAE!
The beautiful setup.
With Roanna and Yan Teng! Spot our faces in the reflection. 😛
